For example I've been happily editing my photos for years in Capture One on a lowly 2014 i5 Mac Mini with 8 gigs of RAM and integrated Intel graphics. If you don't do those things you can get by with a pretty low-spec machine. The more you do things like batch processing, denoising, etc., the more power you need. It should be able to handle anything you throw at it, but much depends on your particular needs. I am posting this here because I know the people here and their level of expertise. Is a MacBook Air M2, 24 mgb Ram, 10 cores, 1 TB SSD, and 13.6 inch screen a good choice for this purpose? Are there better alternatives? I have been a pc user and I am looking for a travel-easy photo-oriented laptop to run Lightroom, Photoshop, ACR, and DXO PhotoLab 6 as well as other photo software. I am thinking of buying a MacBook Air M2 with 24 mgb of RAM, 10 cores, and a 1 TB SSD.

Is a MacBook Air M2 good for photo processing?.
